Which particular mattress do you recommend for children? I'm looking for a mattress for my 2-yr-old, and ideally I would like to get one that would last throughout the childhood/teen years. Is there a particular model of Essential mattress that you think is best for a growing child's spine and overall sleep health?
World's only Natural Memory Foam mattresses and pillows.
Made in Canada just outside Montreal, Essentia mattresses are luxuriously comfortable and healthy without compromise.
Come visit our store in Kistilano to see what they're all about.
I wanted to resurrect this thread because I was curious if anyone (other than the one poster in this thread) had tried this mattress.
I am still very skeptical that they manufacture their own "latex memory foam" as in all my research I haven't seen them mentioned as a manufacturer.
Nuform from Latex International was mentioned in this thread but it didn't seem like anyone connected it with Essentia. I would guess that Essentia is using Nuform and calling it their own. Either that or they may be some kind of hidden subsidiary of LI ... but I doubt that.
In any case, in spite of the fact that their mattresses are horrendously expensive, I am thinking that it would feel like nuform and there are some mattresses out there that are using Nuform that are significantly less.
So has anyone actually experienced either an Essentia mattress or a mattress with a few inches of Nuform on the top and if so how did it compare with both latex and with decent memory foam?
We have purchased our Essentia mattress (it has not come and is on hold until we figure this problem out). The problem: we cannot figure out a suitable NON-TOXIC (w/o FR) “box spring” to go under the mattress and our bed requires one. We do not own a platform bed and after looking into them, they are way too modern to fit in our decor and after the expense of the mattress, we cannot afford to redecorate! Please help! We really would like to buy this Essentia mattress. So….we need a suitable box spring without fire retardant. The Essentia sales associate suggested a “Temporepedic” box spring which would bring all the toxins back into or bedroom.
Damn comfortable. We call our son’s mattress the “Black Hole” and so is this one. You sink into this Essentia mattress and feel the support in every nook and cranny of your body. When you dip, I dip, we dip. You get the picture.
